Resorts World New York City opens high-limit International Room
The 13,657-square-foot space features 48 table games and three private salons, opening as the Queens property marks its 15th anniversary.
QUEENS · Resorts World New York City has launched a new high-limit gaming area called the International Room. The venue, which opened on October 22, features 48 table games and three private salons for games like baccarat, roulette and blackjack. This opening marks a significant expansion for the Queens property, which is celebrating 15 years of operation. The International Room is part of a larger first-floor addition that introduced 57 new table games and 147 slot machines to the casino.
The new space offers dedicated hosted service and allows guests to order food and drinks around the clock without leaving the gaming floor. The private salons can be reserved and customized with entertainment options such as karaoke. "The International Room is a major milestone in the evolution of Resorts World New York City, representing another important step toward realizing our vision of a world-class integrated resort right here in Queens," said Meghan Taylor, SVP Government Affairs and Public Relations. Taylor noted that until now, players seeking this level of service had to travel outside New York City.
Hip-hop artist and Queens native Nas attended the unveiling event. Nas previously served as a public face for the property's campaign to secure a full casino license. The specific terms of his involvement, including any potential ownership equity, have not been disclosed. With this new room, the entire Resorts World casino now operates nearly 300 live table games and over 4,000 slot machines across two levels.
The property received its full-scale gaming concession from the state in December 2025, allowing for slot machines, live table games and sports betting. It began operating as New York City's first full casino less than seven months ago. The International Room's debut is part of a broader $5.5 billion redevelopment plan for the site near JFK International Airport. Future phases of the project will add nearly 2,000 hotel rooms, a 7,000-seat arena and 11 acres of green space. "We are extremely proud of the speed with which we have built and opened this incredible space that offers a new and uplifted experience to our players," said Robert DeSalvio, President of Development for Genting Americas East. A casino spokesperson said details on table minimums for the International Room would be provided shortly.
