Spintec gains gaming vendor licences in UAE and Ontario
The electronic gaming machine producer says the licences will enhance its presence in North America and open the Middle East.
Spintec has secured two new gaming-related vendor licences, one in the United Arab Emirates and another in Ontario, Canada. The company was awarded a federal gaming-related vendor licence by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) in the UAE. In Ontario, it completed the application process for a gaming-related supplier licence with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). The approvals follow what the company described as a long and rigorous application process.
"We cooperated with our partner Bet Rite in the licensing process in Ontario," said Goran Sovilj, Spintec’s chief commercial officer. "We have invested a lot of effort into it, as it was extremely important for us. The newly acquired licence will enable us to solidify our partnership and further enhance our presence in North America." Sovilj added that the UAE licence opens new opportunities in the Middle East, where Spintec is among the first licensed vendors to enter the market.
The GCGRA is an independent entity of the UAE Federal Government with exclusive jurisdiction to regulate, license, and supervise all commercial gaming activities in the country. Its federal licence grants Spintec the right to establish vendor relations with commercial gaming operators licensed by the GCGRA. The company becomes one of the first producers of electronic gaming machines to be included as a federal licence holder in the Emirates. In Ontario, Spintec enters a tightly regulated gaming market that the company says promises great growth potential. The company noted that its roulette product currently holds the title of the most successful electronic roulette solution in Western Europe, Central Europe, Latin America and North America, according to the 2026 Eilers & Krejcik Gaming performance reports. Sovilj said both the UAE and Ontario markets are incredibly important footholds for the company.
