ARLINGTON — Air Canada has selected the Traverse platform from the Airlines Reporting Corporation to support direct booking for corporate travelers through its digital channels.

The platform will support Air Canada Embarq, a new self-service business travel platform designed for Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises and nonprofit organizations.

"Direct booking can be an important part of an omnichannel travel program, without sacrificing the visibility and controls businesses need," said Chuck Fischer, chief airline retailing officer at ARC.

"Traverse gives Air Canada the flexibility to connect the direct booking experience with the insights corporate travel programs rely on."

Through the partnership, Air Canada Embarq will give business travelers the convenience of booking directly while enabling their companies to track spending and access corporate program benefits.

In the future, companies will also be able to use corporate forms of payment and apply their travel policies to direct bookings with Air Canada.

Traverse supports direct booking in both managed and unmanaged corporate travel environments, helping companies maintain visibility into business travel regardless of how their employees' trips are booked and managed.

"At Air Canada, we're focused on making business travel more efficient and rewarding for our customers," said Francois Choquette, head of global sales at Air Canada.

"We value the Traverse team's partnership in helping us deliver a more flexible experience for business travelers and their companies."

Air Canada joins Aeromexico, Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, American Airlines, Choice Hotels, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and WestJet among travel brands using Traverse solutions.

ARC announced the selection on Oct. 8, 2026.

Traverse became part of ARC on Jan. 1, 2026, expanding ARC's solutions for corporate travel.

ARC's platform is the intelligence behind air travel, connecting the industry and powering commercial decisions for airlines and their partners.

The company's trusted services fuel airline retailing, with ARC processing over $100 billion in U.S.-based agency air sales annually.

ARC leads industry collaboration between airlines, agencies, corporate buyers and other partners to enable a thriving industry ecosystem.
