Caribbean Airlines to launch direct flights from Toronto to Tobago
The weekly service, starting Oct. 25, 2026, will connect Pearson Airport with Tobago without a layover in Trinidad.
TORONTO — Caribbean Airlines will introduce a new weekly nonstop flight between Toronto and Tobago starting Oct. 25, 2026.
The airline, which is the national carrier of Trinidad and Tobago, announced the expansion on Friday.
The service will operate on Sundays, connecting Toronto Pearson International Airport with A.N.R. Robinson International Airport in Tobago.

Flights will depart Toronto at 3:20 p.m. and arrive in Tobago at 9:55 p.m., while returning flights will leave Tobago at 8:40 a.m. and arrive back in Toronto at 1:25 p.m.
The airline said the new and returning services are intended to give travellers more options for leisure, business and family travel, while also supporting tourism, trade and connectivity across the Caribbean and beyond.
"The route will provide a direct link between Tobago and Canada, one of the island’s important international markets, ahead of the winter travel season," the airline said.
Currently, those travelling between the two destinations have to connect through Piarco International Airport in Port of Spain in Trinidad.
"The new service is expected to support tourism arrivals as well as travel by members of the Caribbean diaspora visiting family and friends," the airline said.
Tobago is one half of the dual-island nation of Trinidad and Tobago, and is located just off the coast of Venezuela.
The island is known for its postcard-worthy beaches, cuisine, and natural beauty, including the Main Ridge Forest Reserve, which is considered the oldest protected rainforest in the Western Hemisphere.
Caribbean Airlines also operates nonstop flights between Toronto and Trinidad, competing with Air Canada on the route.
In a separate expansion, the airline will resume commercial passenger flights between Trinidad and Caracas, Venezuela, from Oct. 31.
"The restored route will reconnect the neighbouring countries and is expected to support business travel, tourism and other cross-border activity," the airline said.
Additionally, the airline plans to operate charter flights between Trinidad and Panama from Dec. 1 through Feb. 9, 2027.
"The charter services will run on selected Tuesdays and Fridays, providing additional options during the busy Christmas and Carnival travel periods," the airline said.
Caribbean Airlines encouraged customers to monitor its official communication channels for flight schedules, fares and booking information.
