Health Canada and CFIA issue new recalls for hand warmers, strollers and raspberries

The recalls involve products sold through Amazon and at Summerhill Market stores in Ontario due to fire, burn and norovirus hazards.

Health Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency are warning consumers about new recalls for household items including hand warmers and strollers sold through Amazon and raspberry products sold at Summerhill Market stores in Ontario.

HotHands Rechargeable Hand Warmers have been recalled due to a burn hazard.

The Gobi Heat Rechargeable Hand Warmer Pair has been recalled due to fire and burn hazards.

Health Canada has ordered Junior Brands Corp. to recall the Valco Baby Trend Duo Double Stroller.

Novello Desserts reported earlier this month that 314 units of that stroller, which do not meet federal carriage and stroller regulations, were sold in Canada.

Certain Summerhill Market brand raspberries and raspberry-containing products have been recalled over possible norovirus contamination.

The CFIA previously recalled raspberries from Summerhill Market locations in Toronto, York and Aurora up to Sept. 15.

Smarter Snacks Vegan Protein Puff Chili & Lime Flavored have also been recalled.

A free Yeti 3000X firmware update is available through the Goal Zero application for a recently recalled power station confirmed to have been sold at The Home Depot.

Health Canada and the CFIA previously warned consumers about recent recalls for a children’s book sold through Indigo and Amazon, and frozen desserts sold at Sobeys, FreshCo, Foodland, IGA and more.

Consumers can report any health or safety incidents related to the use of products by filling out a consumer product incident report form.

To report a food concern or complaint, consumers can report to the CFIA.

To report a health or safety complaint with a cannabis product, fill out the cannabis reporting form online.

Report any drug or health product side effects or complaints to Health Canada.

Consumers can check for more recall notices published by Health Canada and CFIA online.
