ROME · Gaming industry professionals attending the SiGMA World event in Rome next year will be able to earn up to 18 Continuing Professional Development learning hours. The credits will be available over the three-day conference running from November 3 to 5, 2026, at Fiera Roma. Delegates can claim a maximum of six CPD hours for each conference day they attend. The initiative adds a formal professional development aspect to the event, which already focuses on industry debates and networking.

The CPD programme covers learning from presentations and discussions on the summit’s five conference stages. It will not apply to exhibition visits, networking events or commercial meetings. "The CPD initiative provides attendees with a method of recording their learning and including it in their broader professional development," the organisers said. Topics addressed in conference sessions include regulatory developments, operational challenges, emerging technologies and shifting market conditions.

Delegates must register their interest via a brief online form on SiGMA’s dedicated CPD page, either before or during the summit. To have their attendance verified, they must scan their badges each time they enter the venue for conference sessions. Daily entrance records will serve as proof of attendance. After the event, SiGMA will match registration requests with attendance records, and iGaming Academy will issue the CPD certificates.

The programme is designed to appeal to a wide range of professionals, from operators and compliance specialists to technology providers. The CPD initiative also extends beyond gaming, reflecting the multi-industry nature of SiGMA World 2026. It covers professional development across executive leadership, regulation, compliance, payments, technology, product innovation, market expansion and affiliate marketing. Organisers noted that staying informed in the gaming industry requires more than following headlines, as regulatory requirements vary by jurisdiction and technology constantly alters operations. "Staying informed about developments in the gaming industry goes beyond just keeping up with industry headlines since regulatory requirements vary from one jurisdiction to another, technology is always altering the way operations are run, and commercial strategies have to take into account changes in player behaviour and in market access," they said.

The conference programme aims to combine different professional viewpoints so delegates can explore topics directly related to their work. "The programme of the conference combines these different viewpoints so that the delegates can attend talks given by people in the industry and look at topics that are directly related to their own work," the organisers stated. Individual session check-ins will not be necessary for the CPD certification process. Individuals needing assistance with registration or the CPD process are directed to the SiGMA College stand at the summit. The organisers said qualifying participation in the conference can form part of a documented record of professional learning, alongside contacts made and ideas shared in Rome.
